In this video I made a narrow bookshelf to fit behind the door of my son's room. The bookshelf is made from reclaimed butternut wood (aka white walnut) and I used paracord as an accent and to stop the books from falling off the shelf. It is hung using a french cleat system and fits perfectly behind the door.

If you want to see a detailed step-by-step I will be writing an
instructables post in the future. You can follow me on instructables and by clicking here: https://www.instructables.com/member/TheGrantAlexander/
